There are three pool options and two beaches to explore. From the pristine white sand beaches to the low-key but fantastic food scene, the island is a must-visit. Our room was spacious, the hot tub on the veranda a treat and the bed was extra comfy. The Bamboo Bar was perfect for an a la carte breakfast vs the more varied and expansive breakfast buffet at Salt. And while we were too full for dessert, the surprise slice of anniversary cake was just right. The ‘salt’ prep for Jonny Cakes was a special touch. We ate at Salt twice with different selections and everything was delicious. We loved the Sunset Lounge not just for the views but the food, bar and service. The general manager was seen walking the property and interacting with guests making everyone feel special. From the moment we arrived until our departure, we had a relaxing time and felt pampered and well cared for. Just concluded our four night stay celebrating our 36th anniversary, and had to say how special it was. The big race is on the first Monday of August each year and culminates with the 'Champion of Champions' race on Sunday, August 12. Snorkeling Tip: The snorkeling along the cliff just under the Sunset Lounge is spectacular, you'll feel like your swimming inside an aquarium, especially if you get 50 - 100 yards out along the cliff and in amongst the coves. Anguillas national sport, boat racing, takes local pride to new levels when the islands boats compete from May through August. The concierge was great in helping us to move around some dinner reservations and also helped us rent a Moke for half a day to drive around and see some of the other beautiful beaches and the Arch. Our young adult kids made use of the tennis and basketball courts and we also enjoyed the fitness area. The staff there were awesome! At night, we did a bit of off-site dining, but also loved the Sunset Lounge for sushi and the live music and views. For lunch, the food was good poolside but we definitely enjoyed the Half Shell Beach Bar area the most. We really enjoyed the food and had breakfast at both Salt (buffet only) and at the Bamboo Bar & Grill (a la carte). Your able to order some groceries through the concierge or I would recommend you ask your driver on the way from the airport to stop at the french wine store and the grocery store if you want to have some supplies in the kitchen. The room had a great kitchen area, dining area, sitting/tv area and outdoor patio with a beautiful view of Meads Bay Beach. Upon arrival, greeted with some rum punch and an upgrade from two separate rooms into a two bedroom suite which was great for our group of six. Just back from enjoying 6 nights at the resort.
